When Xpedition DFM starts up, the DFM Profile pulldown is empty:
If the Xpedition log is viewed, there may be a message such as this:

This indicates that the RCOM process, which accesses Port 11001, has failed. This process is used to get the Stage Names and other data.
Check the Port access (using a program such as "netstat") to make sure that the Port is available for the application.
