Issue: Unable to Access Teamcenter Share While Using Teamcenter X

If you are unable to access Teamcenter Share while using Teamcenter X and encounter the following error:

{"message":"Response code 400 (Bad Request)"}

This issue arises due to a session conflict between the two services, as both use WebKey authentication.

Root Cause:

The authentication sessions for Teamcenter X and Teamcenter Share are stored in the same browser instance, causing conflicts. This is not a supported configuration and has not been reviewed as a valid use case.

Suggested Workarounds:

  1. Use Separate Browsers:

    1. Open Teamcenter X in one browser (e.g., Chrome) and Teamcenter Share in another (e.g., Edge).

    2. Use a private browser window, such as Edge InPrivate or Chrome Incognito.
  2.  Create Separate Browser Profiles/Sessions:

    1. Set up different profiles or sessions within your browser to isolate authentication tokens.

    2. For example, in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, you can create multiple profiles to avoid session conflicts. - Refer to these guides for assistance:

      1. How to use multiple sessions in Edge browser

      2. Manage Chrome with multiple profiles

By isolating the sessions, you can bypass the conflict and successfully access both Teamcenter X and Teamcenter Share.
