After changing the component polarity status in the BOM from unpolarized to polarized (or vice versa), component is still shown as unpolarized in the Documentation Editor.

There are two possible reasons for this. First, check the Tools > User Options > Documentation Session and make sure that the option Export BOM information has been checked:
Then, in the Documentation Editor, go to Tools > Options > Advanced, and check that the option Save component polarity during synchronization, has not been checked:
If checked, component polarity in the Documentation Editor is preserved during the synchronization with Process Preparation.
