When only wires are selected, the From and To feature will be useable. Once “include multicores and overbraids” is selected, these two fields will be removed. This is due to multicores don't create connectivity in the datamodel and are treated as containers.
Reason for From and To tab issue disappear for Multicore relates with the datamodel in Capital. Wires, nets, and shields create connectivity and can terminate to pins on pinlist (devices, connectors, etc.) objects.
Multicores don't create connectivity in the datamodel. They are treated as containers. They can contain wires, nets, or shields, which will be terminated, but the multicore itself cannot be terminated.
If you want to create a custom report that has the "From" and "To" information in the multicore, you can query for the first wire in the multicore and then display the name of the pinlist object for each side.
