Simulate modifications or variants of our original geometry using part families in nx
In NX you can create variant of your geometry by e.g. changing parameters, exchanging parts in an assembly or by suppressing features.
These modifications can be collected in a Part Family. These variants are directly present in FloEFD, so you can easily apply your project on them.
In the "Modeling Environment" under "Tools" choose "Part Families".
Create a new "Part Family" and add "Expressions" or assembly "Components".
In the table fill out "Part Number" and "Part Name" also the values for the "Expressions".
For components enter the name of the component or leave the cell blank, if the component shall not be present.
Set the path where the part family shall be saved.
Click on "Create Parts".
Change Backt to the FloEFD environment. Create a new project or clone an existing.
Under "Configuration" set the pulldown menue to select, then choose the variant, on which you want to create the project.
