Capital™ Batch Update Library Part doesn’t update Analysis Model on an object on Logic design

Summary

After changing the Analysis Model attached to the symbol within Capital Symbol Designer, then running “Refresh Symbol Libraries” in Logic Designer, Batch Update Library Part (BULP) on Logic design doesn’t update Analysis Model on an object which is using the Library Part with this symbol. Manual “Update Part” on this object updates Analysis Model as expected.


Details

While doing an individual “Update Part” on an object, we get an option to copy attribute/property values from symbol as shown below.

 

 

That’s why we’re getting desired result.

 

Such setting doesn’t exist for BULP and hence BULP goes with default option: don’t update property/attribute from symbol. As a result, Analysis Model does not get updated in BULP.

 

It’s intentional that BULP doesn’t update attributes/properties from associated symbol. Generally, users set symbols upfront and use them in designs.

If there are specific symbols changes, they should be updated using "Update Part" functionality.
