Summary

How to share the unique Environments library with other users. If you are creating unique Environments to leverage (e.g., for Mission Profiles) and wish to share the environments with other MADE users, follow the steps below. NOTE: This is NOT a synchronization. This will need to be repeated each time you wish to update another user’s Environments.

Details

This is NOT a synchronization. This will need to be repeated each time you wish to update another user’s Environments.

***IMPORTANT NOTE***

This method completely overwrites your original Environment Library. Any unique Environments in your original library, that are not also in the library you're receiving, will be lost.

Part 1: Sharing your Environments Library

STEP 1:

Navigate to the folder that your Environments library file resides:

C:\Users\[your user ID]\MADe\environment\taxonomy\Environmental

Select the environments file “MADe_Environment_Library_User” ending with extension “.xml

STEP 2:

Attached and send the .xml environment file to the other MADE user(s) you want to share it with via your preferred method (e.g., email, MS Teams messaging, etc.). You attached the file just like you would any other file.

Part 2: Accessing the shared Environments library

STEP 1:

Once you receive the other user’s .xml Environment file, download and save the provided .xml file to the folder that your Environments library resides:

C:\Users\[your user ID]\MADe\environment\taxonomy\Environmental

It will notify you that an existing file has the same name. Select to replace the existing file.
