Summary
The "Scanner is not ready" message changes to "Scanner is ready" after scanning data if the scanner is connected. Set "ScannerGetVersion" to "No" for it to always display "Scanner is ready".

This is by design, and the message changes to "Scanner is ready" after you scan any data if the scanner is connected and configured correctly.
If you configure the "ScannerGetVersion" parameter of this "Split and Splice" resource to "No", the message will always display as "Scanner is ready".
