General information:

Based on what kind of license has been purchased a Simcenter Madymo license file contains modules and/or tokens.

• Simcenter Madymo modules are available only for Madymo Solver enablement
• Simcenter Madymo tokens can be used for Madymo Solver, ATD/HBM models as well as Workspace pre/post tools

Tokens are more flexible in use, whereas having modules can help ensure license availability for solver (overnight) runs.

Overview of the five Simcenter Madymo license products:

• Madymo/Token – FL  -  Generic re-usable tokens for all Simcenter Madymo functionality. This includes all solver functionalities and utilities and co-simulation, all licensed crash dummy, human body and impactor models, and all Workspace pre/post tools and features.
• Madymo/Solver/MB – FL  -  Module for Simcenter Madymo multi-body solver only. Note: Finite element and airbag solver, co-simulation, crash dummy, human body and impactor models, and Workspace pre/post tools are not included.
• Madymo/Solver/MB + FE (no Airbag) – FL  -  Module for MADYMO multi-body and finite element solvers. Note: Airbag solver, co-simulation, crash dummy, human body and impactor models, and Workspace pre/post tools are not included.
• Madymo/Solver/MB + FE + AirbagUP – FL  -  Module for MADYMO multi-body, finite element and airbag (uniform pressure) solvers. Note: Airbag gas flow solver, co-simulation, crash dummy, human body and impactor models and Workspace pre/post tools are not included.
• Madymo/Solver/AirbagGasflowDynamics – FL  -  Solver module for detailed airbag gas flow analysis. Note that this is an add-on product to Madymo/Solver/MB + FE + AirbagUP – FL.

The overview below summarizes the Simcenter Madymo products licensed through tokens.

Note: Each Workspace tools requires 14 Simcenter Madymo tokens. Based on the selected functionality XMADgic may consume less tokens.

Further remarks:

• The token draw overview excludes the legacy MADLIC license scheme (for product releases 7.8 and older), as well as some legacy UGSLMD licensed Madymo products
• Simcenter Madymo tokens can only be used for Simcenter Madymo products.  These tokens are not equal to or exchangeable with Simcenter Tokens.
• Simcenter Madymo licenses are floating, hence no (node locked) HOSTID in the increment lines in the license file
• Borrowing is not enabled for Simcenter Madymo products
• Simcenter Madymo academic license products (3) are token-based licensed only
• If a license contains both tokens and modules, the order of check-out is modules first, then tokens.  So only in case a required module is not available (either not included in the license or checked out already), tokens will be checked out (if sufficiently available).
• Possible license increment names within a Simcenter Madymo license are: sc_md_token , sc_md_so_madymo3d , sc_md_so_fem , sc_md_so_fem_airbag and sc_md_so_gasflow
• Besides the license draw information given in the license log file, the license draw of solver runs can be found in the Solver reprint file (*.rep). In the reprint file, one can search for the string LICENSE MODULES USED. Some examples are given below:
