Connect electronics drivers use 3 ports to communicate with subscribers. these ports are dynamic and set when driver starts.
When any Connect Electronics driver starts, it will look for 3 available ports for its communication with its subscribers.
It will start with port 8000 and continue until it can find 3 available ports and will use them.
It will then notify the gateway what ports it is using and the gateway will know to distribute this information for any subscriber that want to connect to the driver (like SFM).
The general recommendation when deploying new Connect Electronics environment is to keep ports 8000-9000 open for driver communication with its subscribers.
