Scripting and Automation

Summary

Details

While there is not a specific tool within Xpedition Layout that will flag traces with certain angles, there is a good option created by the community.

AutoActiveToolKit, or AATK, is a collection of automation scripts that were created by users and are NOT part of Siemens EDA supported software releases. Within AATK, there is a tool called "DRC Check Angles".

This is a KBA that explains AATK and how to download.

Download, unzip, then drag/drop DRC_Check_Angles.efm into your open Xpedition Layout window. From there, specify the angle. Below is a screenshot of what that will look like for 90 degrees.

Important: Automation Scripts obtained through Knowledge-Base Articles, the  Siemens EDA Communities Site, or any resource other than the Siemens Installer, are not supported software. These scripts are written by users and made available for other users as a courtesy.  Hence, use with caution and backup your data before executing any such script.

Warning:

AATK is a collection of unsupported script and is provided as-is.  Please review and test the AATK scripts thoroughly before deploying it in the Production Environment.
