Simcenter MAGNET Suite Possible issue in Simulink Plugin 2019.1: "Failed to load required MGLS dll" error

The error "Failed to load required MGLS dll" error occurs with version 2019.1 when attempting to solve a Simulink model. Clicking OK on the error dialog will close it but you will have to do this 7 times. After this the solve will still proceed normally. Please upgrade to the latest release of Simulink plugin to avoid this issue altogether.

To get rid of this error in 2019.1 you can try the following workaround below.

In Windows, open Environment Variables (the easiest way is to search for this in the Windows Search Bar) and then click ‘Environment variables…’ button near the bottom in the System Properties dialog that appears. This will open the Environment Variables dialog for User and System.

Under User variables, click ‘New...’ and create a variable named "PCLS_HOME" without quotes and set its value to the installation path of the plugin (actually what path you set does not matter as long as something is set for this variable). Then click ‘OK’.

If this does not help you may also need to repeat the above step but for System variables (which is below User variables).
