The export/import format for parts is .xml but sometimes a librarian likes to check data content using Excel spreadsheets. This is possible by a simple copy/paste action.
Details
This is an example of how to copy all the existing wire parts.

Open Component Maintenance (CM) and have a blank Excel spreadsheet ready

On the bottom panel of the CM window, select Group Name: Wire and click on the Search button

This will populate the top panel with the results of the search query

Select any row on the top panel and press Ctrl+A to select all rows. They should all highlight in blue:

Press Ctrl+C to copy all rows

In your Excel spreadsheet, do a Ctrl+V and it should paste all the rows
