After first installation the target path is fixed and cannot be chosen or changed.

At the first Installation the target path can be chosen.
Like C:\MentorGraphics\ValorMSS\2304\ProcessPreparation
When running an update it is not possible to change the target path.
This is because the Installer looks for an environment variable ValorMSS_HOME which is by default set to C:\MentorGraphics\ValorMSS
ValorMSS_HOME=C:\MentorGraphics\ValorMSS
To change the target installation path the variable needs to be changed or removed before installation.
This can be done using the tool SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe
Note that System Administrator right may be needed.
On the Advanced tab click on Environment Variables.
A popup opens were the environment variables can be modified.
Find the ValorMSS_HOME variable within the System Variables.
Edit the variable to your needs. Deleting it will allow you to choose a target path during installation.
When done click OK to apply changes and a second time OK to close the System Properties tool.
