Summary
A CAD model in Simcenter Madymo is often used for overlay but they can also be used to convert them to a facet surface using the MADPost tool. In this article steps required to achieve the workflow will be discussed.
Details
Step 1: Load the CAD file in MADPost
Step2: : Position and scale the CAD model as required (Based on the units of CAD file)
Step 3: Click on export model icon in MADPost.
Select the parts of interests or all FE part. Once the selection is made, click on export and a .XML file will be created of the mesh.
Step 4: Load the exported model in XMADgic. The user needs to create the property and material cards and assign to the parts accordingly.
