Summary

Continuous morphing and remeshing may cause negative volume cells during the simulation. Applying morphing motion on Geometry > Operations is one solution to avoid the problem.

Details

Some situations such as kneading disk or planetary mixer require continuous morphing and remeshing process to simulate their motions. Sometimes, negative volume cells are observed during the simulation and the simulation is stopped. To avoid this problem, apply the motion on the Geometry > Operations node with Surface preparation > Transform. Morph from zero option in Solvers > Mesh Morpher also helps reduce the negative volume cell.
