1 Define preferred license 

If you own several XCargo licenses (for example with different ranges of functions) you have to define 
which of them should be used. 

Step 1: Start Excel and open the XCargo ribbon. 

Step 2: Click the Define preferred license button from the Help > Licensing menu. 



The License Selection dialog box appears. 



Step 3: Select the entry of your preferred license and click Select afterwards in order to confirm your 
selection. 
(If you have selected another license than the one currently used, you may need to restart the 
application in order for the changes to take effect) 
 

2 Enter license server 

To use a XCargo license available in the network, there must be a connection to the license server. If 
the license server cannot be found automatically, you have to enter its address manually. 

Step 1: Start Excel and open the XCargo ribbon. 

Step 2: Click the License server button from the Help > Licensing menu. 



The License server search list appears.



Step 3: In the License server search list click the Append button.



Step 4: Enter the license server address in the added row of the list and click OK afterwards to 
confirm the new entry. 



A connection to the license server in order to administrate your licenses is possible now.
