To get the most out of Siemens Xcelerator as a Service products, you must manage access for your team.  You may have received a welcome email and want to access.  This onboarding guide helps you:   If you have any questions or issues not addressed by this article, please reach out to our Technical Support team via Siemens Software Support Center: Open a Support Case.  

Create an Account  
An account with Siemens Digital Industries Software is required to access many of your products and services, including Support Center. This was previously referred to as Webkey; if you have a Webkey, you can continue to use the same email address and password. If you are a new user of Siemens Digital Industries Software products and services, you must create an account.
Enable your team to use an Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product
After purchasing Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product, an email will be sent automatically from Siemens PLM License Generator to the proposed Enterprise Cloud Account (ECA) admin and the contract administrator.   This email includes information about the Sold-To number, Webkey access code, and ECA admin information. If you didn’t receive an e-mail, please reach out to our Technical Support team, via Siemens Software Support Center: Open a Support Case
 
  1. Upon receiving this email, go to the Siemens Xcelerator Admin Console and click the Sign In button. If you don't have an account, you must create one – refer to section Create an Account. Be sure to use the same e-mail address as was used on the license e-mail.
  2. Accept the Terms and Conditions
  3. Configure the Account by entering an Account Name (a friendly name that you decide) and the Region where you want your data stored. 
  4. In the Admin Console, under License Details, there is a list of Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product licenses to verify:  
For Example: the "License Details" for the "Teamcenter Share" product.

If the information looks correct, you are ready to add users to the Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product account. 
To add Users: 
  • Click the Assign User button and enter the user/member email address who will be using the Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product (including yourself if applicable).

  •  When a user is added, they will appear under the Assigned Users tab:
  • Once the user is assigned they will receive a welcome email with a link to the Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product.

Get Member or Guest access to an Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product
Member: To begin using an Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product as a paid member, you must first be assigned a member license in Admin Console by your admin. This is complete if you received a welcome email. If you did not receive a welcome email, reach out to your ECA admin and ask them to follow the steps in Enable your team to use an Siemens Xcelerator as a Service product section to activate your account in the Siemens Xcelerator Admin Console.

Guest: if you have received an invitation email to access a XaaS product as a guest (for example, to view a project) and you have an existing Siemens Digital Industries Software account, use that account to sign in to the product page.  If you don't have an account see the Create an Account section. 

Use existing Siemens Digital Industries Software products with Siemens Xcelerator as a Service
For some product integrations (i.e. Teamcenter Share) there is an additional configuration step needed. This will not be required for all products but if your software is listed below, you can find more details in the linked article.

Connect your product data with Siemens Xcelerator as a Service
Standalone web browser: Any standard web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox, can be used to interact with Siemens Xcelerator as a Service capability, from any device.

Embedded web browser and toolbars: A built-in web browser and/or toolbars gives some Siemens Digital Industries Software products the ability to connect to Siemens Xcelerator as a Service and share data from within the product’s desktop UI. 

Siemens Connector: Connect and synchronize data with Siemens Xcelerator as a Service using a Windows Desktop application called Connector. Connector synchronizes desktop files with what is stored in the cloud. This allows data to always be available from your Windows computer, and allows your files to be available for cloud-based capability e.g. collaborators having access to the latest changes in any shared project files.
