Details

In Simcenter 3D, the acoustic mode solution only support boundary conditions V=0 (default everywhere).  Pressure P=0 is not supported in the SC3D graphic user interface.  However, the boundary condition P=0 is supported in the Nastran solver.  Just solve the modal solution using option “Write Edit & Solve Input File”, this allows you to edit the input file first before solving.  Add the following lines to the input file:

  1. Under subcase, add ALOAD=1

SUBCASE 1
  LABEL = Subcase - Eigenvalue Method 1
  METHOD(FLUID) = 201
  ALOAD = 1
  1. At the end (before ENDDATA), Add the following (the number 16, 32,… are the face IDs where you specified P=0).

When finished editing, save the file and submit the job.
