Summary

Is it possible to compute FRFs using the pre-existing modeset?

Details

This video shows how to compute FRFs using pre-existing modeset of a simulation model. The key step in this process is to create a blank .fem and .sim files and then representing the .fem with the pre-computed modeset of the model. Once this is done, the modes can be edited to update modal damping as needed and then the remaining set up for FRF solution can be completed by specifying relevant constraints, response nodes and excitation nodes. This process as well as the post-processing of the resulting FRFs are demonstrated in this video with a simple beam model constrained at one end.
