Summary

When attempting to install Siemens Connector (i.e. SiemensConnector.1.41.000.0.exe) an error occurs. The log file linked to the error message references the following event; - Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed. The Connector installation prohibits installing an earlier version while a newer version is installed.

When attempting to install Siemens Connector (i.e. SiemensConnector.1.41.000.0.exe) the following error occurs

Although other version of the Connector software may be available, Siemens recommends to always use the latest version of the Connector software.
If you need a previous version installed;
  1. Uninstall the currently installed version
  2. Restart the Siemens Connector installation.
