Your Simcenter SCADAS Mobile is provided with an ingenious cooling system to make sure it will be operating at every measurement condition and for long time acquisitions.
In this article we explain how the cooling system works.

  1. The heat coming from the electronic components is transferred from the printed circuit board (PCB) to the cooler guides.
  2. The cooler guides transfer the heat to the cold plate.
  3. The cold plate transfers the heat via the heat pipe to the heat sink.

If the heat sink is covered during the measurement, the temperature inside the Simcenter SCADAS system may exceed the maximum temperature of the operating specifications and there is a high risk of permanent damage of the electronic components on the circuit boards. Look at the related article to know more about the Simcenter SCADAS operating conditions.

Please also be aware that removing the Heat sink or modifying in anyway the cooling system is considered misuse of the hardware.
Eventual damage for inappropriate setup of the system during acquisition and misuse of the hardware will not be covered by the Simcenter SCADAS warranty or maintenance contract.
