When using a passive scalar, what additional computational time can be expected?
Details
Each passive scalar requires an additional transport equation to be solved.
In the case of a single phase simulation with the k-Epsilon turbulence model, the increase in computational time is about 8% per passive scalar.
In the case of an Eulerian two-phase simulation with the k-Epsilon turbulence model, the increase in computation time is around 3.5% per passive scalar.
